Follow these steps to reset the password for your Practice Lab account.
- Access the Practice Lab by navigating to https://vita.taxslayerpro.com/irstraining/
- Enter the password that you received from the IRS or your site coordinator to access the Practice Lab. This password must be entered in ALL CAPS. If you do not know this password then reach out to your site coordinator or IRS SPEC Relationship Manager.
- Select "Forgot Password".
- Enter the username for your Practice Lab account.
- Enter the answer to your security question. Please keep in mind that this answer is case sensitive. If you've forgotten the answer to your security question then select "Forgot Answer" and skip to section of this article titled "Forgot Answer".
- Change your password.

- Enter the email address associated with your Practice Lab account and then select "Submit".
- Enter the confirmation code.
You will need to enter the code without closing this page. If this page is closed then the process of resetting your password will need to be started again. You can minimize this window and open up a new one or simply open a new tab to access your e-mail. The email is titled "IRS Practice Lab - Password Reset". If the e-mail is not in your inbox then ensure that it was not redirected to your spam/junk folder. If this occurs then we recommend adding "Taxslayerpro.com" to your Safe Senders List in order to prevent this from occurring in the future.
- Change your password.
