Follow these steps to create an account for the Practice Lab.
- Access the Practice Lab by navigating to https://vita.taxslayerpro.com/irstraining/
- Enter the password that you received from the IRS or your site coordinator to access the Practice Lab. This password must be entered in ALL CAPS. If you do not know this password then reach out to your site coordinator or IRS SPEC Relationship Manager.
- Select "Create Account".
- Enter the details for your account.
You will need to enter your e-mail address, a username, a password, a program type, a security question, and an answer to that security question. You do not need to enter a Site Identification Number (SIDN).
If you encounter any errors then refer to the Troubleshooting section below for guidance.
Troubleshooting
Error: This Email Address already exists
Resolution: You've already created an account using that e-mail address! You can recover the username for this account by using "Forgot Username". You can then reset the password by using "Forgot Password".
Error: This Username already exists
Resolution: Someone else has used that username! You could select another username or add to the one that you've entered until the error disappears. Typically, adding a couple of digits will be enough. So, if you've entered "Anna" then try "Anna1234".
